TERMS & CONDITIONS
Following terms and conditions are applicable to any booking with Brazilianvacation.com. Any client who books a service with Brazilian Vacation will be subject to the following terms and conditions, and a payment (when processed) for any travel arrangement shall constitute a client's and or travel agents' absolute consent to all the provisions listed herewith (scroll down to review):
Reservations and Payments: All airline reservations are non-refundable and full payment is due at the time of booking.
Air Transportation: Flights by any IATA airline, which cannot be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on board their aircraft. Latin America Consolidator.com reserves the right to choose the airline per each program. Brazilianvacation.com has no control over flight schedule changes, fare or tax increases; therefore any fare or tax increases will be reflected until the time of ticketing. BrazilianVacation.com will not and cannot handle individual requests pertaining to air transportation including but not limited to seat assignments, special meals, frequent flyer miles or similar. All such requests must be handled directly between the passanger and the respective airline. Luggage is at traveler's risk unless insured (see below for insurance).
Documentation: A valid passport is required of U.S. citizens for travel. A valid Visa for travel to Brazil is also required. If the traveler is a non-US citizen, it is the traveler's responsibility to obtain necessary documentation and/or applicable visas prior to departure.
Shipping: Unless otherwise requested, BrazilianVacation.com ships the travel documents by trackable 2-day Express Courrier, which has a cost associated with it (documents are generally mailed within 45 to 10 days prior to departure). Client can choose a free method (United States Postal Service -USPS- regular mail), however it is not recommended, and in the case documents are lost with this method penalties and incurred additional costs will be traveler's responsibility.
Cancellation: Cancellation within 45 to 31 days of departure date will be subject to a minimum of 50% of tour cost plus any penalties levied by Airlines or Hotels. Cancellation within 30 to 15 days of departure date will be subject to a minimum of 75% of tour cost plus any penalties levied by Airlines or Hotels. No refunds can be given for cancellation within 14 days of departure date. Unused tour features are neither refundable nor exchangeable once the tour is in progress. To protect your tavel investment, we recommend Travel & Trip Cancellation Insurance. You will find below more information on our insurance plan on our site, or simply call us at (800) 848-2746 and we will be pleased to mail you a free copy of this insurance policy.
Transfers and Sightseeing: A complete program is offered throughout each tour packages as shown within the itineraries. Entrance fees to places of interest as well as lunches on full day outings where specified are included in the tour cost. For a-la-carte (custom designed) arrangements, you as the traveler have the control and the responsibility to tell us which transfer and sightseeing services you would like included.
Tour guides: The services of competent local guides and hosts are provided on all tours when specified.
Tipping: If you are purchasing a comprehensive package all gratuities and handling charges to hotel staff, porters, chambermaids and waiters are included (if specified in tour features). Tipping is not included if you are purchasing a basic arrangement (hotel only, or air plus hotel, or air, plus hotel, plus transfers and/or basic sightseeing. Personal tipping to guides is left at passenger’s discretion.
Not included: Tour prices do not include items not specified above: such as passport or visa costs, meals that are not included in tour, tips, laundry, mineral water, excess baggage, and items of purely personal nature. Shiping cost of your travel documents are not included.
Refunds and Complaints: No refund can be considered or given for any absence from the tour or the package vacation arrangement or any unused services or meals, once the tour or the vacation arrangement has commenced and is en route unless special arrangements have been made at time of booking. Any and all claims for refund are to be made only to the booking office, as no agents, representatives, guides, or any other persons, are authorized to make or promise to make any change or alteration of the official conditions and regulations. No claim can be considered if not made within 60 days from completion of tour. No claim can be considered if it is not accompanied by a completed service adjustment coupon or written authorization from our overseas representatives, and/or hotels.
Alteration: Brazilianvacation.com reserves the right to cancel or alter the content of a tour or a vacation package should conditions make this necessary. In this event, the best possible alternative will be offered and a if necessary a proportional refund will be made as appropriate, at the discretion of Brazilianvacation.com.
Tour Performance Warranty: If for any reason within our control, Brazilianvacation.com fails to provide any service, hotel, cruise, meal, or transportation as outlined in the final itinerary, an appropriate refund will be issued to the client upon presentation of a completed service adjustment coupon or written authorization from our overseas represent-atives. No claim can be considered if not made within 60 days from completion of tour.
Responsibility and Liability: BrazilianVacation.com, in operating these land arrangements is responsible to the tour participants for supplying the services and accommodations offered to the participants as stated in the brochure. BrazilianVacation.com, as tour operator, disclaims all liability for loss, damage or injury sustained in connection with services and accommodations provided by railroads, bus operators, local sight-seeing companies, tour operators, steamship companies, airlines, hotels and lodging facilities, all operating under the laws of the country in which these services are provided. The right to alter any land tour arrangement is reserved. Transatlantic round trip flights by any IATA carrier, which cannot be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their aircraft. Cruise tickets when issued, constitute the sole contract between the carrier and the passenger. The carriers concerned are not in any event responsible for any act, omission or event, occurring during the time passengers are not aboard their plane, vessels or other conveyances.
