A Casa das Portas Velhas is locate in the Historic Center of Salvador in Nazaré, one of the msot interesting districts of the city of Salvador close to historic sites such as Pelourinho, Baixa dos Sapateiros and Saúde, the district is part of Salvador´s Historic District which was recognized as Humanity´s Cultural Heritage in 1985. It is locates behing the Army´s Quarters of Mouraria and the Rectory of the Catholic University at Largo da Palma.
